A PTA holds something sensitive: a directory of families, kids and contact details. Too often it lives in a spreadsheet or a printed sheet that ends up in the wrong hands, and the "parents only" page is protected by a password that gets forwarded the first week. Bothy gives every enrolled family one membership pass, and lets that pass quietly guard everything that should stay inside the school community.

The PassSkyeGate

What you use today vs what you could use

What you use today

  • A printed or Google Sheet family directory that can end up with a telemarketer
  • Shared Docs for volunteer signups that anyone with the link can open
  • A password on the "parents page" that gets forwarded outside the school
  • Manual list cleanup every year as families come and go

What you could use with Bothy

  • The Pass for every enrolled family
  • SkyeGate gates the directory, fundraising info and volunteer pages to families only
  • Access that follows enrollment, so it updates as families join and leave
  • No shared password and no directory sitting in a doc to grab

How it works, start to finish

Set up your PTA in the dashboard, free, and create your family pass.

Invite every enrolled family by email. One tap and they are in, nothing to download.

Add SkyeGate to your school or PTA site and put the directory, fundraising pages and volunteer signups behind the pass. The content is not in the page at all until the pass checks out.

As the year turns over, add new families and remove the ones who have left, each in a tap.

The directory can never be screenshotted into a telemarketer's list, access follows enrollment, and there is no password to manage.

When the town recognizes your families

A PTA pass can do more than protect a directory. Because recognition is a rulebook any local business can set, the shops around your school can choose to welcome your families, without ever asking you for a list.

The bookstore can give school families a price during the fundraiser. The cafe across the street can run a back-to-school week for pass holders. A local sponsor can offer a discount in their online store. None of them see your roster; they read an inbound pass and confirm one condition. Your fundraising suddenly has a network behind it, and your families never had to hand their data to anyone.

Common questions

Do parents need crypto or an app?

No. A parent taps one link and the pass sets up in about a minute with Face ID or just their email. There is no app to install and nothing to buy. Families never pay.

What about families without a smartphone?

A pass can be claimed and opened from any device with a browser, using just an email. There is no wallet app requirement and no crypto to manage.

What happens when a family leaves the school?

You remove them in a tap and their pass is revoked, so directory and members-only access stops. There is no shared password to reset for everyone else.

How much does it cost?

Setting up your PTA and issuing the pass is free. One Skye license ($49/mo or $350/yr) turns on the tools. The first 50 founding communities get their first year free, and families never pay.
