You do not need any crypto, any apps, any code, or a credit card to start. Ready? Here's the whole thing.
Go to the Bothy dashboard and enter your email. We'll send you a 6-digit code. If you're one of the first 50 communities, your first year is free.
Check your email, type in the 6-digit code, and you're in. That's your sign-in every time. No password to remember, no key to lose.
You'll also get a license key in that first email. You can ignore it for now. It's just a backup, or a way to hand one community's access to a volunteer.
Add your community's name and a logo. You can upload a logo, paste a link, or let us pull it from your website automatically. This is what your members will see.
If you have a website, you'll do a quick one-time check that it's really yours. The dashboard gives you three ways; the easiest is pasting a small line of text into your homepage. It changes nothing visible, and you can undo it afterward.
No website? Totally fine. Just tick "we don't have a website" and move straight on. Lots of clubs and teams don't have a site.
Tap create, confirm your name and logo, and your community's membership pass is live. We handle all the blockchain machinery behind the scenes. You just get a real membership pass that can't be copied, sold, or handed off.
Add members by email one at a time, or upload your whole list (a spreadsheet works). Each person gets an invite, taps once, and sets up their pass in about a minute, with their email and a quick code. Nothing to install, nothing for them to pay, ever.
One email address, one pass, one seat. Invite each person once, at the address they'll use. Their pass goes to the wallet they choose when they accept, so tell them to open it later with that same email or wallet. Your first 50 seats are included; more are $20 per 50, one time.
Open the Discounts tab and add your own pass. Nothing is recognized until you add one. For each pass you can set a perk, like a member discount, or simply recognize members with no perk at all.
You can also welcome other communities here: a school, a team, an alumni group nearby. Add their pass and choose what their members get. If more than one applies, you pick whether the best one wins or they add up.
In the Scanner tab, add a scanner and give it a PIN. Your staff open skyemeta.com/scanner on any phone or tablet, type your community's scanner code and the PIN, and point the camera at a member's pass. They see whether the member is recognized, never the wallet.
The Website & shop tab has the plugins your license includes:
• Members-only pages on your website with SkyeGate (WordPress or Next.js)
• Member prices in your online store with SkyeWoo (WooCommerce)
No website or store? The Scanner is enough to start, and your members still carry one pass that works everywhere in the network.
A shop or venue can skip step 5 and go straight to Discounts: add the passes your customers already carry, like a local team's or a school's, and give their members a perk. How it works for stores.
