Bothy Membership Terms

1. What you're accepting

When you create your membership pass, you agree to these Bothy Membership Terms between you and Skye Meta Corp ("Skye Meta," "we," "us"). Bothy is the membership suite that issues and recognizes your pass; the community that invited you (the "Community") runs the membership itself.

2. What a membership pass is

• Your pass is a token in your own wallet on a public blockchain. It proves you belong to the Community.
• It is free to claim and hold. We never charge you, and we never ask for your private keys.
• It is soulbound — it stays in your wallet and can't be transferred, sold, copied, or faked.
• It is not an investment. A pass gives you recognition and any perks the Community chooses to offer. It is not equity, not a security, and carries no financial return.

3. How recognition works

When you visit a place that honors your Community — a members-only page, a member price, or an in-person check — your pass is recognized automatically. The place you visit receives only a yes/no result and any benefit the Community set up (such as a discount). It does not receive your wallet address or your wallet balances.

4. Your privacy

Recognition is designed to share as little as possible. The Community and the merchants that honor it see only that you are a recognized member, plus any benefit you're entitled to — not your holdings. Our handling of the limited information involved (such as the email used to send your invitation and the wallet you claim to) is described in our Privacy Policy. The Community that invited you sets its own membership and privacy practices, which are between you and them.

5. The Community runs the membership

The Community decides who is a member and what perks a pass unlocks. The Community can remove you, which revokes (burns) your pass. If the Community stops using Bothy, your pass stays in your wallet but is no longer recognized. Skye Meta provides the technology; it does not control who any Community admits or removes.

6. The blockchain is public and permanent

Minting your pass writes a public, permanent record on the blockchain. You can't undo a mint, and the existence of the pass is publicly visible on-chain. You're responsible for the wallet you claim to and for keeping access to it.

7. Acceptable use

Claim a pass only for yourself, with a wallet you control. Don't claim a pass you weren't invited to, try to transfer or counterfeit a pass, or use your membership to break the law or the Community's rules.

8. No warranty

Bothy and your pass are provided "as is." We don't guarantee that recognition will work in every place at every moment, or that any particular perk will be available — perks are set by the Community. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the disclaimers and limitation of liability in our Terms of Service apply.

9. Leaving

You can stop using your pass at any time. Because a pass is soulbound and on a public blockchain, the record may remain on-chain even after the Community stops recognizing it or removes you.

10. Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these Membership Terms from time to time; material changes will be posted here. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Questions? Contact us at douglas@skyemeta.com.
