Bitcoin sits at $86,400 with funding flat across venues and options priced slightly under what the tape has actually moved. Ethereum is the odd one out: longs are leaning on it hard, and the vol market is charging a premium that realized moves have not earned.
| Asset | Funding (blended) | 25Δ skew | Implied / realized vol | Open interest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | +11% (HL +11 / OKX +10) | +4.7 | 35.9 / 36.5 | $3.11B |
| ETH | +9% (HL +11 / OKX +7) | +2.7 | 49.4 / 40.8 | $3.29B |
| SOL | +11% (HL +11 / OKX +11) | n/a | n/a / 59.3 | $0.65B |
Funding annualized; negative means shorts pay longs. 25Δ risk reversal in vol points; negative means downside hedged. Snapshots, not positions.
Start with ETH, because that is where the three signals pull apart. Funding reads longs pay hard at a blended +9.2%, HL and OKX agreeing on the direction even if HL runs hotter. The skew is mildly positive at +2.7, so the downside tail is not aggressively bid. But implied vol at 49.4 sits well above realized at 40.8, a RICH 8.6-point gap. That is the market paying up for movement it has not seen, while the crowd already leans long. BTC is the calmer picture: balanced funding near +10.6% with venues in lockstep, a small positive skew, and vol that prints CHEAP, options modestly under realized. SOL funding runs +10.9% with longs paying and no options surface to cross-check.
Kalshi has the $74k and $82k BTC strikes pinned at 100% and the $94k strike at 1%, all within half a point of fair. No real disagreement to trade here.
The on-chain open is pricing the high-beta names richer than usual: CRCL at +129bp over its baseline, COIN at +123bp, and NVDA at +96bp above its normal level. The mega-cap tech names, AMZN, META, GOOGL, are sitting roughly 22 to 23bp over baseline, close enough to call unchanged.
| Stock | Last close | Token vs last close |
|---|---|---|
| CRCL | $83 | +249 bp |
| COIN | $189 | +228 bp |
| NVDA | $231 | +181 bp |
| AMZN | $248 | +51 bp |
| META | $726 | +79 bp |
| GOOGL | $338 | +85 bp |
Tokenized equities trade around the clock; gaps are vs the last regular-session close, a read on where the on-chain market prices the open.
Watch whether ETH realized vol catches up to that rich implied, or whether the premium bleeds back toward the tape. A crowded long book paying for optionality it has not needed is the setup to track into the open. BTC and its event strikes offer nothing to lean on.
