ETH funding runs hot on both venues, its call side is bid, and options are pricing more movement than realized has delivered. That is the cleanest signal on the board this morning. BTC and SOL, by contrast, are sending mixed venue mechanics that read like plumbing, not conviction.
| Asset | Funding (blended) | 25Δ skew | Implied / realized vol | Open interest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | +3% (HL +5 / OKX +1) | -0.2 | 35.5 / 35.4 | $2.81B |
| ETH | +10% (HL +11 / OKX +8) | +5.3 | 50.3 / 42 | $3.12B |
| SOL | +9% (HL +11 / OKX +7) | n/a | n/a / 56.9 | $0.67B |
Funding annualized; negative means shorts pay longs. 25Δ risk reversal in vol points; negative means downside hedged. Snapshots, not positions.
ETH is the coin doing the talking. Blended funding at +9.6% with both HL and OKX in agreement means longs are paying to hold, and the +5.3 skew says the upside tail is the one getting bid. IV at 50.3 sits above realized 42, so the market is paying up for optionality rather than sitting calm. BTC is close to neutral everywhere: funding balanced, skew flat at -0.2, and implied barely a tenth of a point above realized. SOL shows hot blended funding but a balanced premium, so the money there is not a directional lean.
The Kalshi market for BTC above $78,000 sits at 100% against a fair value of 100%, essentially no gap, which tells you the tape and the event book agree there is nothing to price at that strike right now.
ETH is where the conviction lives into the open: longs are paying up and the call tail is bid, with options already pricing more move than the tape has given. Watch whether that skew holds or whether the vol premium starts to bleed. BTC and SOL funding gaps are noise until the premium moves with them.
