SOL books split while BTC and ETH vol trades cheap

Bitcoin sits at $81,142 with the crowd balanced and options pricing calmer than the tape has actually moved. The sharper story is in Solana, where the two venues can't agree on which way the leverage leans.

Positioning & volatility

AssetFunding (blended)25Δ skewImplied / realized volOpen interest
BTC+7% (HL +11 / OKX +4)+5.037.8 / 44.7$2.90B
ETH+9% (HL +11 / OKX +7)+4.252.4 / 54.3$2.34B
SOL+4% (HL +11 / OKX -3)n/an/a / 73.2$0.61B

Funding annualized; negative means shorts pay longs. 25Δ risk reversal in vol points; negative means downside hedged. Snapshots, not positions.

BTC funding blends to balanced, and the wide HL-versus-OKX gap there is carry mechanics, not a positioning tell, since the premium confirms neutral. ETH shows longs paying across both venues in agreement, a modest +4.2 skew, and implied still sitting below realized. In both majors the vol read is the same: options price less movement than the tape delivered, so realized is doing the heavy lifting while implied stays cheap. SOL is the outlier, with realized at 73.2 and no skew read to lean on.

Solana is where the venues genuinely diverge. Hyperliquid funding runs hot at +10.9 while OKX prints negative at -2.9, and this one is premium-confirmed positioning, not clamp noise. The books are looking at the same $104 mark and taking opposite sides.

What the prediction markets believe

Kalshi puts BTC reaching $86,000 at 2% against a fair value of 0%, a small 1.5-point premium that says the event crowd is paying a touch more for the upside tag than the model warrants.

On-chain vs Wall Street

TSLA leads the tokenized move with a 124bp deviation below its own baseline, where the on-chain market is pricing a softer open against the $377 close. NVDA runs the other way, 73bp above its normal, while CRCL's -115bp gap is mostly its usual permanent discount and reads as no real move.

StockLast closeToken vs last close
TSLA$377-262 bp
NVDA$229+143 bp
COIN$192-34 bp
HOOD$124-84 bp
CRCL$103-115 bp

Tokenized equities trade around the clock; gaps are vs the last regular-session close, a read on where the on-chain market prices the open.

Bottom line

Watch whether the SOL funding split resolves toward one book or stays torn into the open. In the majors, cheap implied against hotter realized means the tape, not the option chain, is setting the pace.
