SOL leverage splits clean down the middle across venues

Bitcoin sits at $78,563 with the crowd leaning long and options pricing calmer than the tape actually delivered. The sharper story is under the surface, where SOL and ETH funding pull apart hard between Hyperliquid and OKX.

Positioning & volatility

AssetFunding (blended)25Δ skewImplied / realized volOpen interest
BTC+10% (HL +11 / OKX +9)+0.236.9 / 48.7$2.87B
ETH+6% (HL +11 / OKX +2)+0.251.2 / 67.1$2.11B
SOL+0% (HL +11 / OKX -11)n/an/a / 74.5$0.69B

Funding annualized; negative means shorts pay longs. 25Δ risk reversal in vol points; negative means downside hedged. Snapshots, not positions.

Across BTC the crowd is paying to be long at a blended +9.7%, and the two venues agree on that lean. Skew is flat at +0.2, so neither tail is bid, and with implied 11.8 points below realized the options market is pricing less movement than the last stretch of tape handed it. That gap is the tension worth holding: the crowd is stretched long into vol that screens cheap relative to what actually moved. ETH tells a similar vol story, implied 15.9 points under realized, but its funding is anything but settled.

SOL is the split. Hyperliquid funding reads +10.9% while OKX prints -10.8%, a premium-confirmed divergence that blends out to a near-flat +0.1%. Both books say longs pay hard on their own terms, yet they disagree on which way the leverage is actually piled, and that concentration lives in SOL, not the tape at large.

What the prediction markets believe

Kalshi puts BTC tagging $80,000 at 8% against a fair value of 0%, an 8-point premium on a level the tape hasn't earned yet, while the $72,000 and $74,000 floors sit pinned at 100%.

On-chain vs Wall Street

CRCL shows the biggest deviation from its own baseline, trading +108bp versus a normal +75bp, so the on-chain market is pricing its open a touch richer than usual. TSLA and NVDA are both sitting close to their standing levels and haven't really moved.

StockLast closeToken vs last close
CRCL$87+108 bp
TSLA$348-44 bp
NVDA$218+68 bp

Bottom line

Watch whether the SOL funding split resolves toward one venue or stays torn into the open, and whether ETH's Hyperliquid lean of +10.9% converges with OKX at +1.6%. With BTC vol screening cheap against realized and the crowd paying to stay long, any real move gets amplified by positioning that's already stretched.
