Kalshi keeps a sliver on BTC $70k the models call dead

The event tape is nearly settled on Bitcoin's floor. Kalshi has BTC above $60,000 at 100% and above $62,000 at 99%, both matching fair value within half a point. The one crack: a 1% chance priced on $70,000 that the model reads as flat zero.

With the equity leg frozen and no funding, skew, or vol prints in front of us, the read is all in the event book. And that book is boring in the way a settled question is boring. The downside strikes at $60k and $62k are pinned to certainty, model and market agreeing to within tenths of a point. There is no positioning tension to mine here, no crowd leaning against the options. The only pulse is up top, where somebody is willing to pay for a $70,000 print the fair value says shouldn't exist.

The sharpest gap sits at $70,000: Kalshi at 1% against a 0% fair value, a 0.9pp spread. It is small in absolute terms but it is the whole disagreement today, a thin bid for upside that the model refuses to credit.

What the prediction markets believe

No options surface to compare against, so this is a prediction-market read in isolation: the lower strikes are consensus, the $70k line is where Kalshi and fair value part ways by nearly a full point.

Bottom line

Watch whether that $70,000 sliver holds or fades once more prints come in. The floor strikes are a settled matter and unlikely to move the story. Any real action today lives at the top of the range or nowhere.
